The Healthwell Foundation works to help people access essential medicines they might not otherwise be able to afford, and we were excited and honored to work on this project addressing an issue that affects countless Americans. Director Brian Averill developed three compelling concepts that would create genuine connections with viewers: enjoying nature, creating art, and cooking - all activities that help shape our communities and foster human connection.
The biggest challenge of this production was finding locations that felt authentic and relatable rather than staged or artificial. We successfully utilized a local state park in Baltimore for our nature scenes, rented a residential home that felt lived-in and real, and transformed a community meeting room through careful set decoration to create the atmosphere of a community art studio. Through thoughtful location choices and genuine storytelling, we created an effective campaign that not only informs viewers about Healthwell's vital mission but also illustrates the human impact of their work in helping people maintain their health and continue participating in the activities that bring meaning to their lives.
