epa success stories
1.
We had the opportunity to partner with ICF Next and the St. Rest Baptist Church in Fresno to document a significant community development story made possible by the United States EPA. Our team worked closely with the church and their food pantry, taking the time to build genuine trust and establish a collaborative relationship that would let us authentically tell their story. The project involved extensive on-site work, including two full days of filming where we interviewed both community members and government officials to capture different perspectives on this important initiative.
The heart of the project was documenting how the EPA stepped in to help St. Rest Baptist Church build brand new facilities on former brownfields that would dramatically expand their ability to serve people in need through their food distribution programs. The EPA's involvement represented a meaningful federal investment in addressing food insecurity in the area, and our role as ICF Next was to craft a compelling narrative showcasing this successful partnership between government and grassroots organizations. As storytellers, we found ourselves genuinely connected to everyone involved - from church leadership to community volunteers to EPA officials - and felt lucky to help share their collaborative work and the real impact they're making in Fresno.
